Andy Spence

Andy’s practice centres around wholeness, a sense of completion, contentment and happiness. He is mentored by Sharda Rogell and has been engaged in a buddhist based meditation practice for more than 30 years.

He has studied with a number of teachers, mainly in the insight tradition. Initially inspired by the need to come to terms with strong emotions and a rich world of sensations, his practice has given him a firm basis for investigation and insight into personality and the nature of awareness.

Andy has a strong interest in bringing together personal development and spiritual dimensions into a balanced practice. Relationships have been a very important and formative element of his practice as it is through relationship that real presence comes into being.

Most of his working life has been spent in the field of conservation, and this informs his understanding of the dharma of life. Andy is married with one grown daughter.

A Thought for Today

In this fathom long body, with its perceptions and consciousness, is the arising and ceasing of the entire universe.
